UTNY Pathway Program: First Semester In New York

 

Start your Longhorn journey in one of the largest, most dynamic, and cosmopolitan cities in the world.

The UTNY Pathway program allows a small select group of students to start their UT Austin experience in New York City. After one semester at UTNY, students will begin their first semester on the UT-Austin campus in Spring 2026.

Why Start Your UT Journey in New York?

· Take small seminar-style courses that fulfill Moody College of Communication’s course curriculum.

· Network and get mentorship from current UT Austin students living in New York.

· Build a community with a talented cohort of students who will also enter Moody College in the spring.

Students will indicate on their Common App Application that they are interested in being considered for the UTNY Pathway Program. Students must apply to Moody College as their first choice major to be considered.

Students who indicate interest will be reviewed by the Office of Admissions.

No. Students will be responsible for finding housing.

Students admitted into the UTNY Pathway Program will take four courses that fulfill Moody College degree requirements.

Yes. Students will attend an orientation with our Academic Advising Team to register for fall courses. During their semester in New York, students will meet with a Moody Academic Advisor to register for spring courses.

The UTNY facility is located at 28 W 44th St 15th Floor, New York, NY 10036.

No. Students admitted into the UTNY Pathway Program will only attend classes. Internships are not part of this pathway program.
